The ZN63A (VS1) indoor high-voltage vacuum circuit breaker is a three-phase AC 50Hz indoor High-voltage Switchgear with a rated voltage of 7.2-12 kV. It serving as a protection and control unit for power grid equipment and power equipment in industrial and mining enterprises.
The circuit breaker complies with the national standards GB1984-89 "AC High Voltage Circuit breakers", JB3855-96 "3.6-40.5kV Indoor AC High Voltage Vacuum Circuit Breakers", DL403-91 "Technical Conditions for 10-35kV Indoor High voltage vacuum circuit breakers" and relevant international IEC standards, and has reliable interlocking function.
Applications and Installation
The ZN63A (VS1)-12 is designed for use in indoor power distribution systems with a rated voltage of 12kV . Its main function is to protect and control electrical equipment in places like power plants, industrial plants, and substations . It is particularly well-suited for applications that require frequent switching and environments aiming for oil-free and minimal maintenance solutions .
A key feature of this breaker is its installation flexibility. It can be configured as a fixed installation unit or combined with a dedicated advancing mechanism to be used as a withdrawable handcart unit . It is compatible with common switchgear models such as KYN28A-12 (GZS1) center-mounted cabinets and XGN series fixed cabinets .
Key Features and Advantages
- Advanced Vacuum Interrupter: The breaker uses a ceramic vacuum interrupter with copper-chromium contact materials and a longitudinal magnetic field contact structure. This design helps to diffuse the arc effectively, resulting in high breaking capacity and long electrical life .
- Enhanced Insulation Design: Many models feature an insulation barrel made using the APG (Automatic Pressure Gelation) process. With added internal skirts and reinforcing ribs, this design provides a higher insulation level and better resistance to dynamic stability currents. Placing the vacuum interrupter inside the barrel also protects it from damage and contamination .
